Board of Directors

Anne Wilde, Media/Community Relations Director

Anne Wilde was born and raised in the LDS (Mormon) Church, coming from generations of prominent pioneer ancestors. She graduated with honors from Brigham Young University, but for over 40 years has considered herself to be a Fundamentalist Mormon. As a plural wife for 33 years, Anne helped her husband write and publish 65 books on fundamental gospel principles. He died in 2002.

She co-authored the book, Voices in Harmony: Contemporary Women Celebrate Plural Marriage, and was the managing editor of a fundamentalist Mormon magazine, Mormon Focus. She served five years on a polygamy steering committee, and joined the Utah Attorney General’s Safety Net by invitation at its inception. She has been an active participant on the Safety Net since that time, and has completed basic training in domestic violence. A co-founder of Principle Voices, Anne has served as the media contact and Community Relations Director for the organization since 2003, and Anne has been a consistent advocate of polygamy between consenting adults for years.
